Oracle is rolling out Redwood UX across Fusion Cloud Applications through quarterly updates, with mandatory adoption deadlines set across the suite.

Transitioning to Redwood involves more than enabling pages — personalisations, integrations, security configurations and user readiness all need to be considered.

The approach we share here has been refined through our Redwood engagements, transitioning organisations from Classic UX to Redwood across Oracle Fusion Cloud. It is iterative and structured into five stages, designed to align with Oracle’s quarterly update cycle.

1. Discover

  • Identify key user interactions and business processes impacted by Redwood.
  • Inventory personalisations, integrations and security configurations.
  • Document known issues and pain points.
  • Define the scope of Redwood adoption.

2. Plan & Prepare

  • Map user interactions and processes to Redwood functionality.
  • Plan for new features to address identified pain points.
  • Set up the environment and tools for the build.

3. Build & Test

  • Enable Redwood pages and migrate personalisations.
  • Conduct regression testing to validate functionality and performance.
  • Gather early feedback through user playback sessions.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing.

4. Transition Readiness

  • Develop end user training programme.
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Create user guides and support materials.
  • Plan cut-over activities.

5. Deploy & Support

  • Deliver training sessions and confirm user readiness.
  • Deploy the Redwood solution to production.
  • Provide post go-live support.
